Health Articles Tout Dark Chocolate |

I've been reading a lot of health articles lately about how much protein a person really needs. The impact of eating meat on the planet is really severe, and most Americans eat too much protein on a daily basis. The health articles say that the amount of protein a person needs depends on their activity level. Weight also makes a difference as to how much protein a body needs to maintain muscle mass. Cutting back on meat can be done gradually or quickly, according to the health articles I read.
There are good substitutes for meat in the plant kingdom, like combining rice and beans to get complete proteins. These foods also have lots of other vitamins, too, and the health articles like to promote the combination of rice and beans because neither of them have saturated fats. Even chocolate has good protein in it, and many health articles tout chocolate as a healthy food. In fact, if you read the back of a dark chocolate bar, and compare the nutritional components of a servicing of dark chocolate to a serving of corn or green beans, you'll probably find that chocolate has more vitamins and fiber than either one of these vegetables does. Life is good. |
