health articles, fitness modelsMany health articles point out the importance of regular exercise and a balanced diet. Some people read these health articles and don’t bother implementing the suggestions because they seem like a chore. Actually following the advice in these health articles need not be difficult. Let’s use the need for regular exercise as our example. To get sufficient exercise a person should ideally do a minimum of half an hour of cardiovascular work three times a week and make time for some resistance work too. It is easy to get that amount of exercise in the summer. Instead of driving to the convenience store three times a week, walk the fifteen minutes is takes to go there and back. Instead of lifting weights at the gym, you could go outside and pull out the stubborn weeds in your yard. Of course doing these things will not give you a body like one of the fitness models we see on TV and in magazines. What it will do is keep your body strong and supple and ensure that you do not have to visit your doctor too often, and that’s all that is really necessary.
